Jurassic Chaos: Camp Cretaceous Unleashed!
Recently, Season 3 of Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory came out! This show is an absolute gem, and I am not ashamed to say, I am obsessed with it. I thought about writing my review on each one of the character's transitions from Camp Cretaceous to Chaos theory.
A dinosaur camp? Sounds like a dream, right? Well, not if you're one of the unlucky campers in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. What was supposed to be an exclusive adventure turns into a fight for survival when the park’s security system fails (because, of course, it does). Stranded, outnumbered, and constantly on the menu, six teenagers must rely on their wits, teamwork, and sheer luck to make it out alive.
With heart-racing action, emotional character arcs, and enough plot twists to make a raptor dizzy, Camp Cretaceous is a wild ride from start to finish. And with Chaos Theory continuing the saga, it's the perfect time to revisit the madness of Isla Nublar.
But as we know, all the characters have gone through an enormous development. Let's view them all one by one:
DARIUS BOWMAN:
In Camp Cretaceous, Darius starts as the awkward but intelligent kid who knows everything about dinosaurs but lacks confidence in himself. As the group faces terrifying challenges, he naturally steps into the role of leader. He keeps the team together, makes strategic decisions, and—most importantly—never gives up hope. His quick thinking saves the group time and time again, and despite everything, he holds onto his belief that dinosaurs and humans can coexist.
Now older and more experienced, Darius carries the weight of everything he and his friends went through. He’s no longer just the kid who loved dinosaurs—he’s someone who has lived through their danger firsthand. His leadership skills are sharper, his instincts honed, and his ability to read a situation (or a dinosaur) is nearly unmatched. But with this experience comes a burden.
Darius’ journey in Chaos Theory isn’t just about survival—it’s about what happens after you survive.
BROOKLYN BENNET:
This is character is a masterpiece (and my personal fav!). Brooklyn starts off as the social media-savvy camper, always with a camera in hand, documenting her experiences for her followers. But beneath her influencer persona, she's sharp, observant, and always searching for the truth. In Camp Cretaceous, she quickly proves that she’s more than just a famous vlogger—she’s resourceful, brave, and fiercely loyal. She adapts to the chaos of Isla Nublar faster than most, using her curiosity and intelligence to uncover secrets about the park and its experiments.
From the beginning, Brooklyn isn’t afraid to ask questions, even when the answers are dangerous. Her knack for investigation makes her a vital part of the group—if there’s a mystery, Brooklyn is the one to crack it. Whether it's figuring out what Dr. Wu is hiding or navigating the countless threats the island throws at them, she’s always thinking ahead.

By the time Chaos Theory begins, Brooklyn has been through it all—life-or-death chases, betrayals, and the loss of her childhood innocence. She’s no longer just looking for the next big scoop; she’s searching for real answers, for justice, and maybe even for closure. She even pretends to be dead to find answers. Her investigative skills have sharpened, but so has her understanding of how dangerous the truth can be. She’s not just exposing secrets anymore—she’s dealing with their consequences.
In Chaos Theory, Brooklyn’s journey is about more than just survival. It’s about uncovering the truth in a world where dinosaurs are no longer hidden behind park fences. But that truth comes with a cost. The excitement she once felt for discovering something new is now weighed down by the knowledge of what’s at stake. She is also portrayed as a villain by her friends, who were unaware of her attempts to find answers.
Despite everything, Brooklyn remains the group's detective, always questioning, always searching. But now, she’s not just doing it for content—she’s doing it to protect those she cares about. Because in a world where dinosaurs walk freely, the real danger isn’t just the creatures—it’s the people trying to control them.
Brooklyn’s journey in Chaos Theory is about finding the balance between curiosity and survival.
When the truth is dangerous, how far is she willing to go to uncover it? What will she do to protect her friends from untold dangers? And more importantly, what happens when the truth isn’t what she expected?

BEN PINCUS:
Most definitely, the character who changed the most during the show; for the better, that is. When we first meet Ben in Camp Cretaceous, he’s the definition of an overprotected, germ-conscious, anxiety-ridden kid who seems the least likely to survive on a dinosaur-infested island. He’s afraid of dirt, terrified of danger, and would rather be anywhere else but in a high-risk adventure camp. But survival has a way of changing people—sometimes in ways they never expect. At first, Ben is nearly paralyzed by fear. He struggles to keep up with the group, clinging to routines and safety measures that mean nothing in the chaos of Isla Nublar. But everything shifts when he gets separated from the others and is forced to survive on his own. Alone, Ben has no choice but to face his worst fears head-on, and in doing so, he finds something within himself he never knew existed: resilience. With only Bumpy, the baby Ankylosaurus, for company, Ben transforms from a nervous wreck into a hardened survivor.
By the time he reunites with the group, he’s almost unrecognizable—gritty, confident, and willing to take on challenges that once seemed impossible. He’s no longer just surviving; he’s thriving. While he never completely loses his cautious nature, he learns how to use it to his advantage, making him one of the most capable members of the team.
Fast forward to Chaos Theory, and Ben’s development takes on a new complexity. He’s no longer the scared kid who wanted to go home, but he’s also not the wild, jungle-hardened version of himself that emerged from isolation. Instead, he’s somewhere in between—trying to figure out who he really is now that survival isn't the only goal.Ben struggles with adjusting to normal life again. After everything he’s been through, does he even fit in anymore? The world has changed, and so has he. In Chaos Theory, his arc isn’t just about proving his strength—it’s about understanding what strength really means.
Despite his evolution, one thing remains constant: his deep bond with animals, especially dinosaurs. He understands them in a way few others do, which makes him a unique force in the new world of Chaos Theory.
But when faced with new dangers and moral dilemmas, Ben must figure out where he stands.
KENJI KON:
I never, I repeat, NEVER, expected this guy to turn into what he became. When we first meet Kenji in Camp Cretaceous, he’s the classic rich, carefree, and overconfident kid who seems more interested in flexing his VIP status than actually roughing it in a survival camp. He cracks jokes, acts like he knows everything, and at first, seems more like comic relief than a serious team player. But as the chaos unfolds, it becomes clear that there’s more to Kenji than just flashy confidence and charm.According to me, Kenji’s journey through Camp Cretaceous is one of the most surprising transformations. At first, he struggles to be taken seriously, relying on humor and bravado to cover his insecurities. But as the group faces one life-threatening challenge after another, he steps up—not just as a friend, but as a protector. His loyalty to his friends deepens, his survival instincts sharpen, and he proves time and time again that he’s more than just a spoiled kid with a big personality.
Now in Chaos Theory, Kenji has grown, but the scars of his past still linger. He’s more mature, more thoughtful, but also more conflicted. He’s seen how power can be used for the wrong reasons, and now he has to decide what kind of person does he want to be.
Now, Kenji isn’t just facing dinosaurs—he’s facing the real world, one that’s just as dangerous but in completely different ways. He’s no longer stranded on an island, but the world is still a battlefield, and this time, the enemies aren’t just prehistoric creatures. Chaos Theory throws him into conflicts that test not just his survival instincts, but his morality, his loyalty, and his identity.Kenji is torn between two versions of himself: the person he became on Isla Nublar and the life he left behind. He’s trying to be better, to be someone his friends can count on, but part of him still wonders—does he deserve to be?
In Chaos Theory, Kenji’s biggest struggle isn’t just with dinosaurs—it’s with himself. He has wealth, he has influence, and he has a past tied to the very people who want to control the dinosaurs for their own gain.
He’s not just another survivor anymore—he’s someone with power, and that power comes with choices.
SAMMY GUTIERREZ :
From the moment Sammy arrives at Camp Cretaceous, she’s a burst of energy—bubbly, outgoing, and full of enthusiasm. She instantly bonds with the group, making friendships look effortless. But behind that easy smile is a secret: she’s a spy. Tasked with gathering intel for Mantah Corp to save her family’s ranch, Sammy carries a hidden burden, one that nearly destroys her relationships when the truth comes out.
Despite the rocky start, Sammy proves time and time again that her loyalty to her friends is unshakable. She’s not just the heart of the group—she’s its glue. Her optimism and warmth keep everyone together, even in their darkest moments. She refuses to let anyone give up, always believing in the best possible outcome, even when all hope seems lost. Even though she was forced to turn against her kin, her loyalty is confirmed several times through out.
But Chaos Theory is a whole new challenge. The world isn’t as simple as just surviving anymore—there are sides to choose, battles to fight, and consequences that last far beyond the island. Sammy has always been a fighter, but now, she has to decide what she’s really fighting for. She faces heartbreak, misery, separation, and ultimately had to decide whether she's good enough for the team.
She’s no longer the carefree girl who came to camp looking for adventure—she’s someone who has faced betrayal, danger, and life-or-death choices. And now, as dinosaurs roam free and corporations like BioSync continue their shady dealings, Sammy is even more conflicted. Her internal turmoil, including her worry about her friends, weigh her down tremendously. She is now at the crossroads.
How does she keep her optimism alive in a world that keeps proving how dangerous it is? Can she still believe in the goodness of people when she’s seen how much greed and corruption exist? After everything, does she still trust herself to make the right choices?
YAZMINA FADOOL:
Yazmina Fadool—fast, fierce, and focused. From the very beginning of Camp Cretaceous, Yaz stood out as the athlete of the group—the one who could outrun a raptor and leap across broken bridges without hesitation. She was guarded, quiet, and didn’t open up easily, but when she did, her loyalty was unmatched. Her bond with Sammy became a powerful anchor, proving that even the toughest walls can be broken by genuine connection.
On the island, her strength was a shield. She didn’t need to talk about her feelings—she just ran harder, fought harder, survived harder. But now, in Chaos Theory, the battlefield has changed. Dinosaurs aren’t just threats—they’re everywhere. And the trauma of survival has caught up to her in ways she never expected.
Yaz isn’t just running from danger anymore—she’s running from everything she’s kept bottled up. The nightmares, the anxiety, the fear of losing more people she cares about—it’s all there, lurking just beneath her strong exterior. She tries to keep moving, keep fighting, but what happens when there’s no more room to run?
Her once-reliable instinct to power through is now a source of pain. She feels distant even among friends. And for someone who always knew what to do in a crisis, not knowing how to handle her own emotions feels like the scariest thing of all.
In Chaos Theory, Yaz faces her most personal challenge yet: learning that true strength doesn’t always mean pushing forward—it sometimes means allowing yourself to fall apart.

Can she slow down long enough to understand her own scars? Can she let her friends in, or is she afraid of being seen as weak? Is she still the protector, or does she now need protecting?
